TEXTILE FIBER CLEANING SYSTEM

As in the case of harmonic steel, textile fiber also has aspects to consider in the production flow of a used tire recycling plant.

The aim

The textile fiber cleaning system is an optional module that we at TIRES propose as a solution to significantly reduce the elastomeric fraction present at the separation exit in the used tire recycling plant.
In the case of a TIRES system, the module called “Clean Textile system” is connected in a closed circuit with the “Refiner” modules using low energy consumption and almost no maintenance.
The aim is to separate the elastomeric fraction aggregated in the textile fluff to reduce the weight of the waste.
The benefits obtained are very important:

  1. The recovered rubber granules and powders are reusable in the sales market,
  2. Textile waste will be lightened by 40%, enormously reducing disposal costs.

It can be integrated into any existing system with the only note that the textile separation process has been engineered in the tire recycling plant with machines that can receive further product in the cycle without undergoing overfeeding and with accurate separation of the dust.
In our economic simulations, the recovery of the optional plant investment is achieved in approximately 10 months.

The capacities

The “Clean Textile system” module allows you to obtain the production of fluff with a degree of cleanliness greater than 80% by weight compared to the standard approximately 40% coming out of the textile separation stage of the plant.
This leads to the possibility of being used also for soundproofing applications as a lightening material or for the production of pellets using the REFIBRE process, and in any case with high economic savings in disposal.

The plant can process up to 800 Kg/h of passage cycle to obtain the fraction of lightened textile fiber fluff deriving from the recycling of end-of-life tires with an energy impact of 0.010 kW/Kg.
